Reports from Yaoundé say the SDF Member of Parliament for the Jakiri constituency Hon. Joseph Wirba is back in the country after a period of self-imposed exile, Cameroon news agency reports.
The SDF MP who became a house hold name in the country for his aggressive and imposing support to the Anglophone course, became celebrity MP when he took parliament by storm in a rare show of parliamentary defiance in Cameroons lower house of parliament.
The man who famously describe himself as the warrior of Nso was however heavily criticized when he fled the country just before parliament was about to resume this years in March, leaving many to wonder the integrity of the man who promised to lead at the battle front and was ready to die for the course.
He actually remained active even while on exile, sending messages of hor and deguance to his supporters back home and even fellow law makers though many wondered if he still had relevance since he fled the stage even before the war started. His return to the country will surely be seen as a boost to his supporters and a big win for their course
According to Cameroon news agency the SDf scribe mounted the rostrum today at the National assembly saying, “Wirba Joseph is back.” reminding the speaker of the National Assembly that he had written him a letter asking him to protect a fellow MP but never received a reply.
