The landlord of the Buea municaplity Ekema Patrick Esunge fondly known as the “political Maradona” by fans yesterday 5th August 2017 received a delegation from Yaoundé at the premises of the council in Buea.

The delegation which comprised Governor of the Center Region Naseri Paul Bea and Brigadier General Agha Robinson paid a courtesy visit and amongst other things, they also used the opportunity to encourage the council boss on his role to foster peace and development in his municipality

The controversial mayor who has been in the limelight recently for all the wrong reasons including the supposed forgery of fake certificates to enter into the university of Buea is yet to  responds t some of the allegations against him

The CPDM firebrand has however continued with his fierce rhetoric against church leaders, saying last week on Cameroon calling that if found guilty, they should face maximum consequences of their actions and his statements draw a tsunami of criticism online

The latest delegation from Yaoundé to congratulate the man many see here as home as part of their problem only tells one thing, Ekema is winning politically, at least in the eyes of Yaoundé authorities.
