Anglophone regions see unprecedented security in exam centers as GCE kicks off across the triangle


The written part of the 2017 GCE examinations have started today 12th June 2017 across the national triangle amidst tide security in the North West and South west regions the country. Students in the two Anglophone regions who had stayed away from school for the better part of the 2016/17 academic year due to political unrest were taken the exams under very tide security.

A visit to some of the schools in Buea like GTHS Molyko and BGS Molyko , we witnessed the presence of Gendarmerie officials alongside good number of students who have answered present mostly in assorted wears as many wish to seize the last minute opportunity not to miss a year.

The government had insisted that there was never going to be blank academic year as propagated by some activists who had called for indefinite school boycott until all political grievances troubling the country are solved.
